Amy Menezes

School Psychologist


Ms. Amy is very happy to serve as the School Psychologist at McKinley-Thatcher  this year. She has worked as a school psychologist and licensed clinical social worker for over 20 years with the last 10 years being in DPS.  Ms. Amy earned her undergraduate degree in Acting from the University of Northern Colorado, Her Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver, and her Educational Specialist degree from the University of Colorado Denver.  Ms. Amy is very passionate about ensuring that all students feel safe and happy and that all families and staff feel supported.

Ms. Amy has twins who are entering 7th grade in DPS this year.  She is happy to report that her children’s various sporting and social events seem to take up a great deal of her free time!  Ms. Amy also enjoys traveling, learning new things, practicing mindfulness and being outdoors with family and friends! Ms. Amy is very excited to be a part of the McKinley-Thatcher community and looks forward to getting to know the families and staff.
