Kaela Evans
Third Grade Teacher



Ms. Evans is the 3rd grade teacher at McKinley- Thatcher Elementary School. For the past 7 years, she has developed her passion for working with elementary students while working at the YMCA. She spent 5 years helping run Education Exploration Camps and has directed Denver YMCA programs at McKinley- Thatcher and Asbury Elementary in the last couple of years. Last year, she completed her student teaching for Metropolitan State University of Denver while co-teaching the 4th grade at McKinley- Thatcher. She graduated from MSU of Denver with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences with a minor is Elementary Education.

Kaela is very excited to grow with the McKinley- Thatcher community. She is passionate about the power of learning, cultivating a strong community, and empowering her students to access their greatest potential. She is especially excited to be teaching the 3rd grade because she believes it is a pivotal year in her student’s lives academically and developmentally. She looks forward to preparing her students to be successful 21st century learners.
