Jennifer is very excited to come back to her role as the school nurse at McKinley-Thatcher. This will be her second year working for the Denver Public Schools Nursing Department. Jennifer will be at McKinley-Thatcher on Wednesdays and will spend other days of the week working at another school in the Denver area. Jennifer has both a biology degree and nursing degree from Colorado University. Prior to coming to DPS, Jennifer was a charge nurse on the oncology/bone marrow transplant unit at the University of Colorado Hospital. She was at the hospital for nine years. Jennifer loves working with kids and helping them when they are sick or injured. She enjoys working with the students who have chronic and/or acute health conditions and implementing their individualized health care plans into the school setting. In her free time Jennifer loves to rock climb (that is how she met her husband), ski, camp, bike, and chase her two girls…the latter taking up most of her time.
