Jessica Collins

ECE-4 Special Education Teacher



Ms. Jessica is the ECE-4 Special Education teacher at McKinley-Thatcher. Jessica was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jessica made her way to Colorado when she moved to Fort Collins to attend Colorado State University. She graduated with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. After graduating, she brought her passion in teaching to Denver. She taught at the Jewish Community Center Preschool for two years before getting her ECE teaching license. Jessica taught for two years at Paddington Station Preschool while also receiving her MA degree in Educational Psychology and working towards her Special Education Endorsement through University of Colorado. This will be Jessica’s second year at McKinley-Thatcher. Jessica is a firm believer in creating an individualized learning environment in which each student has the ability to learn and thrive.
For fun, Jessica enjoys camping and hiking adventures with her husband and dog. She also loves to cook and try new restaurants.
