Alicia Anderson is a special education paraprofessional at McKinley-Thatcher Elementary. She is entering her fourth year as a special education paraprofessional, with this being her first year at McKinley-Thatcher. Alicia was raised in Colorado Springs and went to school at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado.

Alicia loves working for Denver Public Schools and is looking forward to a wonderful experience working with the students at McKinley-Thatcher Elementary. Before working here, she worked at Holm Elementary and Place Bridge Academy. Some of her favorite things are happy kids, children laughing, spending time with friends, and a good chai latte.

Alicia volunteers with a local mentoring organization, mentoring a young lady in their 6th year together in their partnership. When not at school, Alicia likes to spend time with her husband, two cats and crocheting, knitting, and making beaded jewelry.
