Annie Monaghan is the 1st Grade Math and Science Teacher at McKinley-Thatcher. She started working here just before the 2021-2022 school year. Annie is originally from Portland, Maine and moved to Denver in 2008 to attend the University of Denver. From there, she attended the University of Colorado in Denver and graduated with her master’s degree from the School of Education and Human Development in 2015.

Annie has worked at other schools in Colorado outside of DPS, but loves McKinley Thatcher for the amazing staff, students and community! Some of Annie’s favorite things include her dogs Scout and Bear, skiing and cooking. When she is not at school, Annie likes to spend her time in the mountains or at the beach in Maine!
