Jenny Morgenthaler has been teaching music at McKinley-Thatcher since 2019 and has been teaching music for 15 years. She started her career teaching elementary band and orchestra before teaching elementary general music. Her primary instrument is flute, but she can play many different instruments at a “kid” level. She still loves teaching kids how to play instruments and incorporates her love of instrumental music into the general music classroom as well. She loves teaching at elementary level because the kids are so creative and enthusiastic about learning!

Mrs. Morgenthaler is originally from southern California, but is mostly a Colorado native as she moved to Colorado at age 8. Before she worked at McKinley-Thatcher, she taught band, orchestra and general music at Sedalia Elementary, and has also worked at other schools in Douglas County and Jeffco. She loves working at McKinley-Thatcher because she has worked at many places, but thinks the kids, staff and community here are the best!

When Mrs. M is not at school, she enjoys making lots of art, playing ukulele, gardening, walking her two wheaten terriers and being in nature.
