Class Picture Day + Last-Chance Individual Pictures: Thursday, April 15

We are holding our spring Class Picture Day on Thursday, April 15! Picture Day plans are different for our in-person and remote families, so please read the information relevant to your family below.

If your student participated in our first semester drive-thru school portrait service: you can access their photo gallery by clicking here and scrolling to the bottom of the page.

In-Person Students

  • In-person students will take class pictures during school hours on Thursday, April 15.
  • In-person students who did not take an individual portrait during our first semester photo drive-thru will also have their individual pictures taken during school hours.
  • We are NOT offering photo retakes for students who did take a school portrait first semester.

100% Remote Students

  • Our apologies, but 100% remote students will NOT be able to participate in in-person class pictures. Instead, we will include a digital class photo for 100% remote students in the yearbook. More info on this will be shared later.
  • 100% remote students who did not take a school portrait during our photo drive-thru in first semester will be able to sign up for a  drive-thru portrait from 2:30pm to 3:30pm on Thursday, April 15.
  • We are NOT offering photo retakes for students who did take a school portrait first semester.

If you have any questions or need more information, please call our main office at (720) 424-5600.

Save-the-Date: This Year’s Cultural Festival is Friday, April 23!

We are so excited to announce that, this year, we’ll be holding a 100% online cultural festival on Friday, April 23 from 5:00pm to 6:45pm! Our annual cultural festival is one of our most beloved school events and we’ve worked hard to convert it to an online format that stays true to the spirit of previous festivals.

This year, students, staff, and families will be able to:

  • Complete an easy, at-home “All About Me and My Family” culture project through Seesaw, our online learning platform.
  • Join other McKinley families in Zoom for a virtual cooking demonstration presented by the NYC-based League of Kitchens. We’ll be cooking an Argentinian dish called hongos con provolone together!(Portobello mushrooms with provolone; families can substitute skirt steak instead of mushrooms.)
  • Enjoy international music while eating our hongos con provolone!

Mark your calendars now — we’ll share more info when we return from our spring break!
