Every year, our PTA teams up with amazing businesses around our community to support our school through sponsorships. We are so grateful to our school sponsors – their generous support has been invaluable to our PTA and our school this year! Participate in Our Winter Break Reading Challenge!

All families are invited to join in some winter reading fun over break! Our Winter Break Reading Challenge asks students to read in a variety of fun ways and to fill up their hot cocoa mug reading log with challenge marshmallows. Students can fill up their cocoa cup (or two!) and return them to school by Friday, January 7 to be eligible for a prize.

All students are bringing home a blank reading log in their Friday Folders this week. If you can’t find your log or need another one, you can download and print blank logs and challenge marshmallows here.

In Other News… 

• REMINDER: We have NO SCHOOL from Monday, December 20 to Monday, January 3 for our Winter Break. School resumes on Tuesday, January 4!
  
  
• FYI: DPS & McKinley winter weather policies: maybe someday we’ll get some snow this winter! When we do, we’d like to help our families be prepared, so please take a moment to review our school’s winter weather policy here (scroll down to “McKinley-Thatcher Winter Weather Policy”).
