You’re Invited: 3rd Annual PTA Movie Night Is 9/21!
We are excited to invite all members of our school community to our PTA’s 3rd annual Outdoor Movie Night on Thursday, September 21 (no school on Friday, September 22)! The event will be on our school grounds and begins at 6:00pm, with a 7:00pm showtime. Bring your own outdoor seating to get comfy (lawn chairs, blankets, etc.) and your own picnic, or plan to buy pizza at the event! We’ll also have movie snacks for sale. Our kids get to vote in their classrooms to decide which movie we’ll show!
Please RSVP here, especially if you’re planning to buy pizza! And, please note that this is a FAMILY event, so plan to attend with your children (childcare is not provided).

In Other News!
- Mark your calendars: we have NO SCHOOL on Friday, September 22 (DPS professional learning day)!
- New this year: report student absences online through your Parent Portal! Starting this school year, DPS families can use their computers or smartphones to submit student absences or late arrivals. Guardians of DPS students must have an active Parent Portal account to use this new feature. Visit myportal.dpsk12.org to sign up or to check that your account is active. Directions for using the online absence report feature are available here in English and here in Spanish.

- You’re invited! Located at the University of Denver, join the Gymnastics Playgroup on September 17 and October 29. Playgroup is offered to kiddos that are walking through age 12, $20/class. Space is limited. Learn more and register today at gymnasticsplaygroup.com.
- DPS Discount Days: thanks to the DPS Foundation, the DPS community can purchase discounted tickets to local sporting events and performances! The next DPS Discount Days are:
- Colorado Rockies games on 9/29, 9/30 & 10/1 – tickets start at $12, with $2 from each ticket sold donated back to the DPS Foundation!
- DCPA A Little Night Music production from 9/1 to 10/8 – receive a 15% discount on tickets, with $5 from each ticket purchased donated back to the DPS Foundation! Buy tickets here and be sure to use the discount code DPSFUND at checkout.
