NEXT WEEK: School Picture Days Are September 26 & 27!
We are excited to hold our Student Picture Days with Bloom School Pictures! This year, we are taking our class pictures and our individual student pictures at the same time!
School Picture Days Schedule
- Tuesday, September 26
- Kindergarten: Mr. Romero & Ms. Schroeder
- 1st Grade: Ms. Monaghan
- 2nd Grade: Ms. Faust
- 3rd Grade: Ms. Evans
- 4th Grade: Mrs. Jones
- Wednesday, September 27
- ECE: Ms. Kristen & Ms. Michelle
- 1st Grade: Ms. Hilbun

- Monday, October 23 — Make-Up Picture Day (In-School)
- A Make-Up Picture Day sign-up will be available once our student galleries are live.
Students will be taking both their group class pictures and their individual school pictures, and all of our students will be photographed during their Picture Day. There is no fee for students to participate and families have no obligation to order photographs!

Celebrity Crossing Guard to Celebrate National Walk / Roll to School Day!
National Walk / Roll to School Day is Wednesday, October 4. On this day, we will have a special celebrity guest crossing guard. Please help us celebrate by traveling to school using “active transportation.”
We are excited to announce that our celebrity crossing guard will be drag artist Dixie Krystals!
Walk, ride your bike, use your wheelchair, scooter, skateboard, or ride RTD on October 4 to receive a raffle ticket to win a restaurant gift card for your family! If you need to drive to school, please park one or more blocks away from the school and come through the main crosswalk to receive your raffle ticket. Our goal is to have everyone use human-powered transportation on this day!
More than 25 DPS schools are participating in this event. Together we can create a healthy community!

- Save-the-Date: we are hosting our annual Family / Teacher conferences after school on Tuesday, October 10 and Wednesday, October 11! Teachers will share a digital conference sign-up link with their families. Please use this link to sign up for a conference with your child’s teacher!
Does Your Family Want Interpretation During Your Conference?

- New this year: report student absences online through your Parent Portal! Starting this school year, DPS families can use their computers or smartphones to submit student absences or late arrivals. Guardians of DPS students must have an active Parent Portal account to use this new feature. Visit myportal.dpsk12.org to sign up or to check that your account is active. Directions for using the online absence report feature are available here in English and here in Spanish.
