February Restaurant Day Fundraiser at Kaos Pizzeria:
Thursday, February 8

Families are invited to enjoy our February Restaurant Fundraiser at Kaos Pizzeria all day on Thursday, February 8! Simply mention McKinley-Thatcher to your server to have 15% of sales donated to our school! If ordering to-go, phone orders are preferred to make sure your order is counted in our donation total.

Classroom Valentine’s Day Celebrations:
Wednesday, February 14

We are hosting our classroom Valentine’s Day parties on Wednesday, February 14! ECE through 3rd will celebrate from 7:30am to 8:30am and 4th and 5th grade will celebrate from 9:05am to 10:00am. Please note that our classroom parties are for students ONLY. Keep an eye out for more information coming from your child’s teachers, including ways to donate or volunteer for classroom parties and a list of student names for valentines! 

We’re also accepting donations of unopened boxes of valentines in the main office. If you’d like to receive free valentines for your student, please call us at (720) 424-5600!

If you prefer that your child not participate in our Valentine’s Day celebration, please submit this form, return the paper opt-out form from your child’s February 2 Friday Folder, or call us at (720) 424-5600.

PTA Auction: Day-of Volunteers Needed!

Our annual auction is coming up soon on Friday, March 1, and our PTA auction committee is looking for volunteers to help out this day! They need assistance with setup, registration, and cleanup. If you can help support our biggest fundraiser of the year, please sign up here!

Tickets to this year’s PTA school auction, Shine, are now live! The auction, our largest school fundraiser of the year, is Friday, March 1, 7:00pm to 10:00pm, at Moss Denver, with appetizers, drinks, and fun!

Share Your Skills, Talents, and Other Auction Items!

Our PTA auction committee is looking for auction items! This is our largest fundraiser of the year, and we need you all to help make it a success! We love highlighting the incredible talents of our community, and would appreciate adding handmade items or sharing a skill. Whatever it is you have to give, we’re so grateful!

We’re happy to take donations until February 9, and request donation items in hand by February 14 so we can get them posted to our auction site.

• Save-the-date: our 5th Annual Social & Emotional Learning Night is returning on Thursday, February 22 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm! We’ll have free dinner (pizza and salad) for attendees, free childcare for McKinley students, and learning sessions for adults! More information + RSVP coming next week!
  
  
• Mark your calendar: we have NO SCHOOL on Friday, February 16 (DPS staff planning day) or Monday, February 19 (Presidents’ Day)!

• REMINDER from our cafeteria: all students may receive a complete school breakfast and/or lunch free of charge this school year. However, second entrees and a la carte items, including cartons of milk, must be purchased with cash or using a student’s MySchoolBucks account.
