REMINDER: Shine, our 2024 Auction Fundraiser, IS TONIGHT!

Join us at Moss Denver TONIGHT (Friday, March 1) from 7:00pm to 10:00pm for Shine, our live auction event with appetizers, drinks, and fun. We have many items from our community available for bidding — all to support our school — including gift cards, talents and services from McT parents, vacations, and our TEACHER TREASURES!

As always, funds raised through the auction support critical educational initiatives at our school!

Supporting Our School Community During Ramadan

To support our students, staff, and families who observe Ramadan, our school is:

  • Offering a private space during lunchtime for people who are fasting.
  • Making alternative activities available during gym class and recess for students who are fasting.
  • Increasing awareness about Ramadan within our community.

What Is Ramadan?

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, during which most Muslims observe religious fasting. Fasting includes refraining from eating and drinking from dawn to sunset. 

At McKinley, we work hard to provide an environment for our Muslim students, staff members, and families where they feel safe, supported, and respected during Ramadan and throughout the year.

3rd, 4th, & 5th Grade Girls: Sign Up for Girls on the Run!

Girls on the Run (GotR) is ready to help girls thrive and shine at McKinley-Thatcher! GotR will start the week of March 4 (NEXT WEEK!) with Ms. Amanda Eisenson, our 4th & 5th grade special education teacher, as our site coordinator and coach. The team will meet at McKinley-Thatcher on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:30pm to 4:00pm. GotR is open to all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders who identify as girls.
