NEXT WEEK: March CSC Meeting Is Tuesday, 3/12!
This year, a number of DPS schools didn’t get the budget requests they asked for – and our school is one of them! Join us at this coming Tuesday’s CSC meeting to discuss ways to bridge our budget gap and to advocate for more money for our school and our community!

PTA’s March Restaurant Fundraiser Is Wednesday, 3/20!
Families are invited to enjoy our March Restaurant Fundraiser at Uno Mas Taqueria from 4:00pm to 9:00pm on Wednesday, March 20! 10% of all sales during the event will be donated to our school — no code necessary! Families can dine in or order to-go.
Other School News
- Mark your calendars: we have NO SCHOOL from Monday, March 25 to Tuesday, April 2! This is our spring break (March 25 to March 29), the observation of César Chavez Day (April 1), and a McKinley staff planning day (April 2). School will resume on Wednesday, April 3.
- Supporting Our School Community During Ramadan: to support our students, staff, and families who observe Ramadan, our school is:
- Offering a private space during lunchtime for people who are fasting.
- Making alternative activities available during gym class and recess for students who are fasting.
- Increasing awareness about Ramadan within our community.
