Volunteer With Our Food Drive on Monday, 12/16!
We are in need of several more volunteers to help us sort and distribute our food drive donations on Monday, December 16. If you are able to help out, please sign up here!
- Monday, 12/16, 7:30 a.m – 10:30 a.m. – sort donated items and arrange them in the gym.
- Monday, 12/16, 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – host families to come “shop” in the gym.
- Monday, 12/16, 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. – pack up the remaining items into bags and move to lobby.

REMINDER: Order School Pictures By 12/31!
Bloom School Pictures’ Fall 2024 ordering period will close on December 31, 2024. After this date, a minimum order of $18 will apply. To take advantage of no minimums, be sure to view and place your orders before the December 31 deadline!
To Access Your Student’s Gallery
- On Bloom’s website here, scroll down to the “Order Pictures” section and click on the blue “School Year 2024-2025 Galleries” button.
- When prompted, enter the email address you’d like to use for ordering pictures.
- Click on “Fall 2024 — Student Individuals” to find your student’s individual gallery. Click on “Fall 2024 — Class Photos” to find your student’s class photo gallery.
- Enter your student’s school ID number for their gallery password. (If you don’t know their ID number, call our main office at (720) 424-5600.)
- Review your child’s photos and order any that you’d like to. For help with ordering, use Bloom’s Picture Day guide here.
Help Out With Free Book Friday!
We still have a few Free Book Friday volunteer spots open in January – if you’d like to assist, please sign up here!
What Does Volunteering Look Like?
Free Book Friday volunteering involves:
- Arrive at 2:00 p.m. and check in as a visitor in the main office.
- Set up folding tables and preselected books on the playground.
- From 2:30 p.m. to 2:50 p.m., facilitate book giveaways by helping children select books and restocking tables as needed.
- At 2:50 p.m., return leftover books to the boxes. Move boxes and folding tables back inside the building.

Other School News
- Mark your calendars: we have NO SCHOOL from Monday, December 23 to Monday, January 6 for our winter break! School resumes on Tuesday, January 7.
- We are happy to share translated copies of our November 22 Principal’s Update! This letter included important information about our transition to an Enrollment Zone model for SchoolChoice. Families can now read the letter in Arabic, Dari, Spanish, and Vietnamese (as well as English)! Our apologies for the delay in providing these translations.

- Tasty Food during Winter Break 2024: the City of Denver’s Tasty Food program, which provides FREE meals and snacks to youths ages 3-18, will be open from Monday, December 23 to Friday, January 3. No ID or registration required! Find a location near you at denvergov.org/tastyfood!
- La Plaza Christmas Clinic: FREE vaccines & toys are available through La Plaza’s Christmas Clinic on Saturday, December 14, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 15200 E. Colfax Ave. Every child who receives a vaccine will get a gift from Santa. Available vaccines for adults & children include COVID, Flu, DTaP, Hep A + B, Hib, HPV, Polio, Meningitis, MMR, Pneumonia, Tdap, and Varicella. Click here for more information!
