REMINDER: NO SCHOOL from Mon., 12/18 to Tues., 1/2!

We have NO SCHOOL from Monday, 12/18 to Tuesday, 1/2 for our winter break. School resumes on Wednesday, 1/3!

Supporting Our Community through Our Food Drive!

We filled over 100 reusable grocery bags with donations from last week’s food drive, and these bags have already been shared with McKinley families for winter break. Thank you to everyone in our community for coming together to help us spread some extra love this month and to ensure that all our families have a safe and comfortable break!

Congratulations again to our first graders, who won our Wintertastic Popsicle Party for bringing in the most food drive donations! 

Participate in Our Annual Winter Reading Challenge!

Please join in our annual Winter Reading Challenge during Winter Break! Our challenge information is coming home in your child’s Friday Folder today. To complete the challenge, kids get to read in a lot of fun ways and in fun places in order to fill their cocoa cup with marshmallows! Kids should turn their completed cocoa cup papers into the office by Wednesday, January 10, 2024. All completed cocoa cups will be entered into a raffle for fun prizes on Friday, January 12!

Other School News

  • Save-the-date: our PTA’s January Restaurant Night is Wednesday, January 10 at GB Fish & Chips from 4:00pm to 8:00pm! Keep an eye out for more details coming from the main office in January!

  • Save-the-date: Round 1 of the 2024-2025 SchoolChoice application window opens on January 11 and closes on February 12! Families with students who will be entering ECE, kindergarten, 6th grade, or 9th grade in the 2024-2025 school year should complete a SchoolChoice application here. The federal government’s Affordable Connectivity Program offers families up to a $30/month discount on your internet (up to $75/month if your household is on qualifying Tribal lands) and a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet or desktop computer!
