Ms. Fellows was born in Iowa and moved to North Carolina during elementary school. Growing up, she spent time playing outside, reading books, and spending time with her friends and family. She loved going to school to see her friends and her favorite subject was math. By third grade, she had known she wanted to become a teacher.
She attended Appalachian State University and majored in elementary education with a concentration in mathematics. She participated in a student teaching abroad program where she taught second grade in Zululand, South Africa. After graduating, she taught 5th and 6th grade for 4 years on the coast of North Carolina. She moved to Denver 3 years ago and has taught 4th grade in DPS ever since. She is excited to continue her career at McKinley-Thatcher Elementary!
