Summer 2026 Resources & 2026-2027 Back-to-School Information

FREE 2025-2026 Yearbooks Are Coming Home!

Thanks to the generosity of our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), all current students have received a free copy of our school’s 2025-2026 yearbook. Yearbooks are coming home with students today (Friday, May 29). 

McKinley-Thatcher’s 2026-2027 School Year Calendar Is Now Available!

Please click here to see our school’s 2026-2027 school year calendar in English (PDF file). We will share translated versions of the calendar in August. 

Please note that we have four no school days that are specific to McKinley-Thatcher. These days are in addition to district-wide no school days, and are intended to provide our staff with extra professional development and planning time.

McKinley-Thatcher Staff Planning Days

These days are shown in yellow on the calendar linked above. 

  • Monday, November 2 – NO SCHOOL 
  • Friday, February 12 – NO SCHOOL 
  • Monday, March 1 – NO SCHOOL 
  • Monday, April 5 – NO SCHOOL 

Sign Up For the PTA Email List!

Are you on our school Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) email list? If not (or if you aren’t sure), be sure to sign yourself up! As our PTA plans for next year, they are working on more consistent communication that will go out via their email list. This is where they will share everything PTA-related, including meeting minutes, event updates, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising efforts.

We also want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for taking the time to complete the recent PTA survey. We appreciate all of the feedback and suggestions! Our PTA is reviewing the responses and looks forward to updating our community with changes and new initiatives starting in the fall. Look out for an email with these updates later in the summer, before the 2026-2027 year begins.

And, if you missed the deadline for the survey and still want to give your input, PTA would love to hear it. Feel free to email mkinleythatcher@gmail.com at any time throughout the summer or during the school year.
