Emily began her career as a teacher in DPS and has been fortunate to have spent all of her years at McKinley-Thatcher! She has taught multi-age and single grade classes of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Teaching reading and science are her passions. She loves the challenge and responsibility of helping students learn and grow. Emily earned her teaching license and bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Colorado Denver. She is inspired by the opportunity teaching offers to evolve continually and challenge the way things are done in order to make learning more meaningful for kids.
