Erin Thiagarajah

English as a Second Language Teacher



Mrs. Thiagarajah is the ESL Teacher at McKinley Thatcher, and has worked here since 2019. Mrs. T is from New York and went to University at Albany where she studied English and Spanish. She then went on to receive her Masters Degree in Boston, MA at Wheelock College for Elementary Education. While in high school, she tutored younger classmates in English and she quickly realized that she had a passion for working with children, in particular second language learners.

Erin loves working at McKinley Thatcher because she loves the sense of community. Before working at McKinley Thatcher she worked in Washington D.C, Snowmass Village, CO and Japan. She loves her daughters, coffee, yoga, exploring new places and her students. When she’s not at school, she enjoys baking, skiing and spending time with her family.
