If you’ve won an auction item and would like to pick it up at our celebration tomorrow, please checkout and pay for it on Auctria by 8:30pm TODAY, Friday, May 13, and bring your receipt/confirmation with you (on your phone is fine)!

All McKinley families are invited, and assume liability for their children’s safety during the event. Please, no unsupervised kids! K-5th Grade Field Day Is Next Friday, May 20!

Field Day for our kindergarten through 5th graders is Friday, May 20 from 8:00am to 11:00am and families are invited! Come join us on our grounds for a fun morning of sports activities! ECE families, please note that ECE will host their own ECE Field Day on Friday, May 27. Keep an eye out for more information from your ECE teachers!

SPECIAL SAVE-THE-DATE:
Our Annual Talent Show Is May 27 & Tryouts Are May 18!

We are excited to host our annual Talent Show in-person on Friday, May 27 from 1:00pm to 2:15pm! Please note that, due to space limitations, our Talent Show assembly will be for students, staff, and family members of our performers ONLY. Our Talent Show auditions will be held on Wednesday, May 18 in our music room. For full details about auditions and how to participate, check out our Talent Show flyer here!

In Other News…

  • Mark your calendars: we have NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day.

  • PTA’s last meeting of the school year will be an End-of-Year celebration at Platt Park on Tuesday, May 24 at 5:00pm. Beverages & snacks are provided, so come hang out and have fun!

  • REMINDER: if you haven’t yet completed our “Plans for Next Year” survey, please do so today! Families can return the yellow form that went home in last week’s Friday Folders or complete this Google form (5th grade families do not need to respond). If you are not returning to McKinley next year, sharing this information now helps us fill empty spots and make sure our school budget is accurate. Thank you!

  • REMINDER: our spring 2022 class picture galleries are ready! Visit bloomschoolpictures.com/mckinley to order class pictures and to place late orders of individual portraits. Families will need to enter an email address to begin ordering. Please note that, if you’d like to view your student’s individual portraits, you will need your student’s school ID number (visit studentidretrieval.dpsk12.org or call us at (720) 424-5600 if you don’t know your child’s ID number). Individual galleries for students who took spring make-up portraits can be found under “Spring 2022 Galleries,” while galleries for students who took portraits in fall can be found under “Past Galleries.”

  • Our school health office is fully stocked with rapid COVID tests. If your family is in need of some FREE testing kits, please call us at (720) 424-5600 or stop by our front door!
