REMINDER:
2nd Annual Glow Dance Party Is NEXT FRIDAY!
Just a reminder that our PTA’s second annual Glow Dance Party is NEXT Friday, November 17 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in our cafeteria! We’ll have a special guest appearance by DJ Cyn (who is back from several of last year’s events)!
Admission to the dance is FREE! We will have chips, hot dogs, veggie dogs, drinks, a bake sale, glow accessories, face paint, and other fun available for sale by purchasing raffle tickets at the door.
We have a limited number of free tickets for families in need of assistance. If your family would benefit from these free tickets, please let us know in our RSVP form!

November Restaurant Fundraiser: Birdcall on Tuesday, 11/14!
Join us for our PTA’s November Restaurant Fundraiser at Birdcall all day on Tuesday, November 14!

Mark Your Calendar: PTA Fall Book Fair Is 11/27 to 12/1!
Our Fall Book Fair is running from Monday, November 27 to Friday, December 1 after school in our gym and art room! To help keep our building secure, fair visitors may not enter or exit the fair through our building or main doors. Instead, please plan to access the fair through our alleyway doors — simply follow the book fair signs in the alley!
Our fair is a great opportunity to pick up holiday gifts and stock up on books for Winter Break, and every purchase benefits our school!

- REMINDER: our November CSC meeting is Tuesday, 11/14 at 5:00pm! Are you curious how McKinley-Thatcher makes decisions about how to spend our money? Then join us this Tuesday, November 14 at 5:00pm on Google Meet! We’ll be discussing our school budget and more. If you’re interested in joining CSC but can’t make it on Tuesday evenings, fill out this 5-question survey to help pick a time that works for as many families as possible!
- Mark your calendars: we have NO SCHOOL from Monday, 11/20 to Friday, 11/24 for our fall break. School resumes on Monday, 11/27!
- There’s still time to order from our Original Works art fundraiser! The deadline for late orders is Tuesday, 11/28. Please see this flyer for details!
- Due to space limitations, and out of respect for our indigenous community members, we are not hosting a school Thanksgiving meal for families this year. DPS Food Services will offer a Thanksgiving lunch for students only on Thursday, 11/16. As a community, we will focus on a culturally responsive way to learn about this time in American history. Thank you for understanding!
