Online Auction Begins TODAY, February 23!

The online portion of our 2024 auction opens TODAY (Friday, February 23) at 6:00pm and ends at 8:00pm on Friday, March 1!

We have many items from our community available for bidding — all to support our school — including gift cards, talents and services from McT parents, vacations, and our TEACHER TREASURES! Check it out and share our link (www.auctria.com/auction/shine) with aunts, uncles, grandparents and other family and friends far and wide!

As always, funds raised through the auction support critical educational initiatives at our school! 

There’s Still Time to Buy Your Ticket for the Live Auction!

Tickets to the live auction event on Friday, March 1 are still available on our auction site here! Purchasing your tickets now helps us to make sure we have the right space, food, and drinks. Thank you!

Share Your School Photos for Our Yearbook!

Do you have photos from school events that we can include in the yearbook? We’d love to include your submissions so we can have the best chance at representing the whole school community! 

All parents, guardians, caregivers, students, and staff are invited to please submit photos to our Lifetouch yearbook upload here.

We’re Looking for Photos of…

Events, library, staff appreciation, snow days, Movie Night, Glow Dance, field trips, Field Day, Discovery Link, enrichments, and more!

Some Tips:

  • If you already have a Shutterfly account, you might have to log in with that account, or try using a different email address altogether!
  • If you get prompted for a passcode for our school, it’s MKT_YEARBOOK-24.
  • The Lifetouch link is the preferred way to submit, but if that doesn’t work, feel free to upload your photos via Dropbox here.

Other School News

  • Mark your calendars: we have NO SCHOOL on Friday, March 8. This is a McKinley staff planning day.

  • We are looking for feedback about yesterday’s Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) Night! If you RSVPed but did not attend, please let us know why. If you did attend, we would love to hear your thoughts on our dinner and childcare, as well as the structure and content of our learning sessions.

  • REMINDER: If you have over 95% attendance in the month of February, you will be invited to a hot chocolate and movie party!! That means you can only miss ONE day in February for this special reward! YOU CAN DO IT!

Community News & Resources

  • The DPS Discovery Link department is excited to host a Regional Community Service Project supporting Red Fern Animal Rescue! Click here for more information on how to help out. Please note that donations to the service project must be dropped off to our Discovery Link program, not in our main office. Thank you!
