McKinley-Thatcher Needs YOUR Voice in the CSC! 

Are you curious how McKinley-Thatcher makes decisions about how to spend our money?

Our Collaborative School Committee (CSC) brings together families, caregivers, and staff to create and implement a plan to promote the continued success of McKinley-Thatcher. This committee meets once a month for 1 hour beginning in November and ending in May, and is an opportunity to have a voice in our school’s budget, among other things!

Share Your Voice Via DPS’s Family Survey!

The DPS “Your Voice / Tu Voz” Family Survey opened on Monday, October 7 and will run through Friday, November 1. This survey focuses on measuring family satisfaction at McKinley-Thatcher and across the district. Your responses to the survey directly impact changes we make to better serve our students and families!

Families can access the survey here. The survey is available in the eight most common languages in DPS, including English, Arabic, Dari, Spanish, and Vietnamese!

October 23 Restaurant Fundraiser at Sweet Cow!

Our PTA’s October restaurant fundraiser is at Sweet Cow Ice Cream (1882 S. Pearl St.) on Wednesday, October 23! We’ll share more details next week!

Other School News

  • REMINDER: we have NO SCHOOL today (October 10), Friday (October 11), or Monday (October 14). We’ll see you again on Tuesday, October 15!

  • Save-the-Date: registration for our winter session of after-school enrichment programs will open on Thursday, October 17 and run until Tuesday, October 29! Families can check out the enrichment page on our website for general information about registration. We’ll share a link to our winter enrichment brochure via ClassDojo and News from the Nest next week!
