Virtual Cultural Festival: Celebrate Your Family + Make Dinner with Us!

Our virtual Cultural Festival is just one week away! Families are invited to join us on Friday, April 23 from 5:00pm to 6:15pm to work on digital festival activities and make dinner with our community during our Zoom cooking class with the League of Kitchens cooking school. 

Festival Schedule — Friday, April 23

  • 5:00pm-5:30pm: Families work on our digital “All About Me & My Family” activity.
  • 5:30pm-6:15pm: Cook dinner together during our Zoom cooking class with the League of Kitchens.
  • 6:15pm: Enjoy dinner while exploring our “Music Around the World” activity.

How to Participate

  • To prepare for our cooking lesson, review our recipe list here and buy ingredients in time for the festival. If your family needs financial assistance to buy ingredients, please call us at (720) 424-5605!
  • Students will bring home their Chromebooks on the day of the festival so that all families have a computer they can use for our festival activities.

In Case You Missed It: Next Year’s Bell Times

As we shared earlier this week, Denver Public Schools Transportation Services is making some changes that will affect our school’s schedule next year. Beginning in the 2021-22 school year, all grade levels at McKinley will begin class at 7:30am and will dismiss at 2:30pm. We’re letting you know so you will have time to prepare and make adjustments for this change.

Extra News 

  • Mark your calendars — we have NO SCHOOL (no in-person or remote learning) on Friday, April 30. This is a staff training day for our school.
