Katherine Nelson

This is Ms. Katherine’s second year at McKinley-Thatcher, but her first year as the Theatre Arts teacher! Ms. Katherine grew up in Southern California and has always loved acting, dancing and singing. She has completed a bachelor’s degree in Musical Theatre, and a Master’s Degree in Education and Theatre Studies. Ms. Katherine has 10 years of experience teaching Theatre Arts in California and Colorado. She loves teaching at McT because of the incredible community support we have AND because both of her children are students! Some of Ms. Katherine’s hobbies include: nature walks, family disco dance parties, watching movies, reading novels and seeing plays. When she is not at school, you can find her being a mom, taking her sons to parks, and hanging out with her husband, Steve!
