Announcing Eagle Club:
Free After-School Enrichment for K-5th Graders

We are excited to announce that McKinley-Thatcher is partnering with the University of Denver and Learning League to offer FREE after-school academic/tutoring services to our kindergarten through 5th grade students! Kindergarten through 3rd graders will focus on literacy while 4th-5th graders will focus on math. We have Arabic and Spanish-speaking tutors, as well as tutors trained to support students with special needs!

Program Details

  • When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30pm-4:00pm
  • Dates of classes: Tuesday, February 1 through Thursday, May 26
  • Where: McKinley STEM lab & art room
  • Who: Kindergarten – 5th grade students
  • How: register online using this Google form or call us at (720) 424-5600 to register by phone.
  • Registration Deadline: Friday, January 28
  • Price: FREE!

Restaurant Day Fundraiser:
Maria Empanada on Tuesday, January 25

Maria Empanada is partnering with our PTA to offer a Restaurant Day fundraiser next Tuesday, January 25! Order at any one of Maria Empanada’s three locations (the closest to McKinley is just up the street at 1298 S. Broadway) and be sure to specify promo code LEARN2021 at the register or online. 

25% of sales that use our promo code are donated to our PTA, so consider buying in bulk — empanadas freeze well!

  • Families with students entering ECE, kindergarten, & 6th grade next school year: please remember to fill out a 2022-2023 SchoolChoice application during Round 1 of SchoolChoice.   • Join us next Tuesday, January 25 at 5:00pm on Google Meet for our January Collaborative School Committee meeting! We’ll be discussing our 2022-2023 school budget.
