News from Our PTA:
February PTA Meeting + Chipotle Restaurant Night!

Please join our PTA for their in-person monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 15 at 7:30am (right after drop-off) on our playground. Be sure to bring your own cup for free coffee! 

Chipotle Restaurant Night Fundraiser: Wednesday, February 16, 4:00pm-8:00pm

Enjoy dinner while you fundraise for our PTA by eating at the East Alameda Chipotle (371 E. Alameda Ave.) between 4:00pm and 8:00pm on Wednesday, February 16! Our PTA receives 33% of sales when you show our event flyer in-person or use our special code when ordering online: KBPYJ9F. 

DEADLINE:
Round 1 of SchoolChoice Closes on Tuesday, February 15!

If your student is entering ECE, kindergarten, or 6th grade next school year and you haven’t yet completed their 2022-2023 SchoolChoice application, please do so as soon as possible! Round 1 of the 2022-2023 SchoolChoice window closes at 4:00pm next Tuesday, February 15.

In Case You Missed It:
Update to COVID-19 Notification Process for DPS

As we move into a new phase of the pandemic, DPS schools will no longer send general COVID-19 notification letters to families when there is a COVID-19 case in their building. Instead, families are encouraged to check the DPS COVID-19 Data Tracker to see the district’s most recent case information. Families and staff will still be notified if they need to quarantine after an in-school exposure. 

In Other News…

  • Mark your calendars: we have NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 21 (Presidents’ Day) or Tuesday, February 22 (DPS Teacher Planning Day).

  • Valentine’s Day Celebrations are Monday, February 14! All classrooms will participate in a school-wide Valentine’s Day craft project. Students may also create and share individual valentines with each other! However, due to DPS’s COVID safety policies, we will not be serving food or allowing family members into the building during our celebrations. Thank you for your understanding!

  • 3rd-5th Grade Families: registration for our spring season of Girls on the Run is currently open! Be sure to sign up by Friday, March 4 to ensure your student can attend the first day of practice on Monday, March 7. Visit our website for program details and registration!
