Ms. Bruner has been serving the McKinley-Thatcher community since 2022 in the role of School Psychologist. This is her 10th year with DPS and, before that, she worked in various mental health settings. Ms. Bruner grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her mom and 3 older sisters. She came to Colorado to pursue her doctorate in counseling at the University of Northern Colorado. She loves Colorado so much that she never moved back to Oklahoma.

Ms. Bruner loves supporting students at McT, because of the amazing families and collaborative staff in our community! Some of Ms. Bruner’s favorite hobbies include exploring the mountains, cooking, R & B music, and musical theater. When she is not at school, she spends time with her dog, Poppy, her adult children, and her three grandchildren.
