Dean Wymer is a first-year Instructional Paraprofessional at McKinley-Thatcher. Mr. Wymer was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a minor in Spanish. After graduating, Mr. Wymer moved to Colorado to work as a Sales Representative for Anheuser-Busch. After a few years of sales, he decided to pursue a career in education. He worked as a substitute for several months throughout DPS and then accepted a long term sub position in 4th grade at Brown International Elementary. He is currently working towards a Master’s in Elementary Education through the Relay Graduate School of Denver and is very excited to join the McKinley-Thatcher team!

When Mr. Wymer is not teaching, he enjoys traveling, snow skiing, camping, and hiking. He also likes to cook and practice yoga. Family is very important to him, so he often travels back to St. Louis to spend time with his parents and grandparents.
