Wow, We Raised Over $90,000 at Our Auction!

Wow, McKinley-Thatcher! As a community, we raised over $90,000 during our auction fundraiser last week – that’s 183% of our $50,000 goal – AMAZING! This money will directly benefit our school by allowing us to continue funding our librarian position, add a health office aide position, and much more. We offer a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone in our community who donated time, energy, and auction items, to all of our silent and live auction attendees, and especially to our auction committee

Erin, Shelley, Evan, Gretchen, and Dan – we are so grateful for the many hours, meetings, emails, and so much more that you dedicated to creating the most successful auction we’ve ever had. Thank you, thank you!

Join Us for a School Budget Town Hall on May 9!

Do you have questions about how Denver Public Schools (DPS) funds McKinley-Thatcher? Join us on Tuesday, May 9 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in our cafeteria for a town hall meeting with Evan Mellman, DPS Director of School Financial Services, and Katie Hechavarria, DPS Executive Director of Finance. Evan and Katie will give us an overview of the school budgeting process and answer questions about our school’s financial future!

Interpretation and childcare available if you pre-register here. Please register by Wednesday, May 3 to request interpretation!

What’s a Town Hall Meeting?

A town hall meeting gathers people together so that all members of a community can receive important information and updates as well as ask questions and share their thoughts and opinions!
